Prayer for Today

My Dear Father, My Lord God Almighty, I give You thanks and praise for all the glorious works You have done. I thank You for the earth that I am living and for providing me all the things essential for daily living. I thank You for the gift of life, a gift I should cherish, a gift I ought to continually give thanks and use for the greater glory of Your name.

I am but a lowly creature. I sin. I have transgressed Your Holiness. I am an imperfect being. I am truly sorry for having offended You Father. By Your mercy, you've given me hope. You've opened up the gates of heaven when You sent our Lord Jesus Christ to wipe out all our inequities. You've loved us deeply which caused our hearts deep sorrow for having offended You continually.

Great is Your love towards us, O God, and I sing You praise! Great is Your mercy, I bow my head and kneel in prayer. You deserve all my praise and thanksgiving! Thank You O Lord for saving us. And today, I thank You for giving us our Mother Mary, the Immaculate Spouse of the Holy Spirit, Virgin of all virgins, Your Holy Temple, the vessel of our Redeemer, the perfect example of an obedient and faithful servant. I thank You Lord for all that we received through her intercession, and I thank You for giving us a mother so pure and so faithful and so loving that understands us and helps us ease our sorrow in the land of the exile where we still are. I thank You Lord that through her, Jesus was born, and we are redeemed. We shall wait for the time that we will share the fullness of Your glory in heaven.

I ask You O Lord to help me to walk in the light, to be blameless in front of You in all the days of my life that I may enter the narrow gate and see You by the end of my days. Help me not forget what really mattered in this life. Let me love wholeheartedly and seek the goodness and do what is righteous before Your Eyes for all the people You love. When I am tempted, give me strength and grace to resist sin. When I am afflicted and close to despair, give me comfort that I may not lose hope. Increase my faith. Increase my love for You. Allow me to know You more, Father.

I shall not cease to give You praise. And when I am silent, I hope You will not be grieved. In You, I place my cause. In You, I lay my heart. You are my only hope, my God. Bless us all, O Lord. Amen.
